Since Coral Sea Kayaking's inception in 1998 we have been working with various schools and colleges, encouraging learning in and the understanding of our beautiful tropical marine environment. We have developed programmes from half-day coastal paddles for students with limited abilities to 9-day wilderness expeditions with year 11 students learning outdoor leadership skills.
Our tropical coastline with it's myriad of Queensland National Parks Islands and unspoilt natural beaches offers a great destination to encourage young minds to explore and appreciate the wonders of the natural world, whilst developing worthwhile life skills such as, teamwork, goal setting and leadership.
We are happy to work closely with schools and colleges to produce programmes to challenge, engage and encourage students of 14 years and above. Our sea kayaking expeditions can include wilderness camping on islands within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, offering the opportunity to fully experience this World Heritage area and it's inhabitants at very close quarters. We can also offer programmes based at Mission Beach or from Dunk Island's campground.
We are committed to providing proffesional, environmentally sustainable and most importantly hugely enjoyable outdoor programmes. Our leaders and guides area fully trained to Australian Canoeing sea kayak instructor level, with remote and first aid qualifications and working with children clearances. We all have a great appreciation and understanding of this delicate tropical marine environment and are always keen to pass this on through experiential learning and intrepretation.
We have risk management matrixes, communicaton, emergency and evac plans for all our programmes. Our kayaking, camping and safety equipment is of the highest standard; selected and researched to ensure participants are assure of the best performance.
The range of services we offer includes fully catered programme from arrival at the airport to departure or simply arranging gear hire and accompanying leader.
