Hinchinbrook Island

6 Day Expedition

Hinchinbrook Island is our premier sea kayaking journey. Wedged between the wet tropics world heritage area, and the Great Barrier Reef, Hinchinbrook Island is Australia largest and most spectacular island National Park. Hinchinbrook is home to some of the most jaw dropping landscapes in the country, and most diverse ecosystems on its rugged peaks and fringing reefs.

We run Hinchinbrook wilderness Sea Kayak adventures in the North Queensland dry season, from June to October. This is when the seas are calm, skies are sunny and a light trade wind follows us up the coast.

On our multi-day Hinchinbrook Island Sea Kayak trips we carry everything we need in our kayaks to paddle by day and pull up on a remote beach paradise to pitch our tents whilst your expert guides whip up a gourmet meal by the light of the sunset.

What we need from you:

- Reasonable fitness

- Good swimming ability and comfort on the ocean

- Basic camping experience

We acknowledge the Bandjin and Girramay People, the traditional custodians of the lands and water on which we work, live and play. We pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging.
